Endless! At 47, UFC legend knocks out giant and becomes champion in bare-knuckle boxing.

Despite his advanced age for competition, Andrei Arlovski extended his legacy in combat sports. Last Saturday (7), in Philadelphia (USA), the Belarusian, 47 years old and now in bare-knuckle boxing, dominated the giant Ben Rothwell in the main fight of 'Bare Knuckle: Knucklemania' and won by technical knockout via medical stoppage. In this way, the veteran became heavyweight champion.

Known for his high level of striking since his heyday in the UFC, the former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) of the biggest MMA company shone in the ring. Arlovski displayed his striking technique and punished the American with jabs and straight punches. He even managed to rock Rothwell in the first round. In the second round, 'The Pit Bull' continued to be the aggressor.

It's true that 'Big Ben', resilient as ever, didn't give up, but he only avoided defeat because he was saved by the ropes. Focused and even more confident, Arlovski didn't let up on Rothwell and made his face bleed even more. With the cut exposed, the doctor prevented the veteran from continuing the fight and stopped it. Thus, the referee declared the victory for the former UFC champion.

Arlovski fighters in combat sports

Andrei Arlovski , 47, is a legend in combat sports. The Belarusian began his MMA career in 1999 and ended it in 2024. At his peak, the veteran was the UFC heavyweight champion.

In sports, the athlete built a record consisting of 34 wins, 24 losses, and two 'no contests' (fights with no result). His main victories were over Antônio Pezão , Ben Rothwell (twice), Fabricio Werdum , Frank Mir , Roy Nelson , Stefan Struve , Tim Sylvia, and Travis Browne.

After ending his UFC career on a low note with four consecutive losses, Arlovski found his calling in boxing, and in bare-knuckle boxing at that. In fact, in the ring, the veteran is undefeated with four wins, all by knockout. With his latest victory over Rothwell, the athlete is at the top of the BKFC rankings.
