Justin Gaethje is overjoyed at winning the interim lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg). In January, in Las Vegas (USA), the American dominated Paddy Pimblett , winning by unanimous decision and earning the right to challenge champion Ilia Topuria . Standing out in the category and with the potential to reach the top, the veteran celebrates this great moment in his career and taunts the Englishman.
Known for being one of the most aggressive and powerful MMA fighters, Gaethje mocked the UFC star's strength. Feeling unthreatening in the octagon, the interim lightweight champion pointed out that Paddy unintentionally made his job easier, further boosting his confidence in victory. It's worth noting that this wasn't the first time the athlete had taunted the Englishman after defeating him.

“I was constantly moving around him, so how was he going to try to take me down? He was kicking me, but he was kicking like a p***. So I thought, ‘I can take this.’ After I realized I could take it, it was like winning the lottery. I was in a really good position, landing powerful strikes and causing a lot of damage,” the MMA legend said in a conversation with Demetrious Johnson.
