Mario Bautista not only won, but also explained why he considered the fight against Vinicius Lokdog easier than expected at UFC Vegas 113, an event held last Saturday (7). After finishing the Brazilian in the second round and ending his undefeated streak in the organization, the American pointed to technical and physical factors that, according to him, facilitated his dominance in the octagon.
In an interview on the show 'The Boys in the Back', Bautista revealed that he quickly identified weaknesses in Lokdog, especially related to weight cutting and speed of execution.
“It seemed pretty cool, but honestly, at my gym this is commonplace. He’s very slow… That weight cut ended up backfiring on him. I have more experience and I was able to read everything he was doing, which made the fight very easy,” said the American.
Mario Bautista explains why Vinicius Oliveira was an “easy” fight and breaks down his incredible finish:
"It looked pretty cool, but honestly, in my gym, that's an everyday thing for us. It's just super slow.

The setback was a tough blow for Lokdog, who lost for the first time in the UFC and missed the opportunity to move up in the bantamweight rankings (up to 61,2 kg). Dominated during the fight, the Brazilian will now need to reorganize his strategy to remain competitive in the organization.
