Jailton Malhadinho 's journey in the UFC has come to an end. The situation of the Brazilian, once a promising heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), became untenable after his latest defeat to Rizvan Kuniev at UFC Vegas 113, an event held last Saturday (7). The information was first released by journalist Laerte Viana and confirmed by the MMA Junkie website.
The news is somewhat surprising, since Malhadinho revealed that he agreed to fight an unranked athlete in order to have his contract renewed with the UFC. In any case, the supposed new agreement did not prevent the world's largest MMA organization from releasing the athlete, who is experiencing the worst moment of his career.

The fighter from Bahia lost two fights in a row, to Alexander Volkov and Kuniev, and received harsh criticism from fans and MMA professionals for his lack of aggression. While fighting for the company, Malhadinho won eight fights, seven by stoppage, and suffered three defeats. To date, neither the athlete nor his team have commented on his release.
