A very popular figure among American fans and protagonist of remarkable moments in the last decade of the sport, Nate Diaz may be close to returning to the most famous octagon in the world. Last Wednesday (11), the black belt in jiu-jitsu under Cesar Gracie announced his intention to return to the UFC later this year through a post on social media.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Diaz attached a video of his in-octagon interview at UFC 241. At the event, he defeated Anthony Pettis by unanimous decision and challenged Jorge Masvidal , who was in the audience. This moment marked the birth of the idea for the BMF belt, which was contested between the two in November 2019 at the organization's 500th event.

“Let’s stop pretending I didn’t create an entire division, adding value to all these guys who think they’re the best. I gave opportunities and announced the most incredible fights. I have unfinished business and I intend to get what’s mine as quickly as possible. I was the first to create a division, and the most incredible one of all. You’re welcome, sons of bitches. See you soon. I’m coming,” the fighter stated.
