Jailton Malhadinho 's dismissal raised an alert for Valter Walker . MMA fans were caught off guard last Wednesday (11) with the termination of the Bahia native's contract with the organization. Johnny Walker 's younger brother , however, admits that he has begun to view the situation with caution and suspicion.
In an interview with the 'Laerte Viana' channel, Valter suggested that the UFC has prioritized athletes who deliver more aggressive and violent fights, even if technical skill isn't present. In the heavyweight's view, those who don't meet this expectation of delivering entertainment may end up falling behind and being discarded by the organization.

"It's crazy, right, man? Okay, he's putting on a good fight, half a fight, right? But it's complicated... Like, the guys want to see carnage in there. And if you don't deliver carnage, you're gonna be a disaster. You're gonna be left behind, you know?", said Valter Walker.
The Brazilian also acknowledged that the decision left him apprehensive. As an employee of the same company, Valter Walker stated that the situation serves as a warning and that any athlete could be the next to face a similar measure.
"I work for the company too. So, I just let out a high-pitched fart, you know? Like, what if I'm next?", concluded the heel hook specialist.

The first warning sign for Jailton Malhadinho in the heavyweight division came in March 2024, when he faced Curtis Blaydes . On that occasion, the Brazilian was unable to impose his game and ended up being knocked out in the second round.
Months later, facing Alexander Volkov , Malhadinho suffered another defeat. Despite securing takedowns against the Russian, the Bahia native couldn't maintain his offensive volume and let the result slip away in a split decision. Following that, against Rizvan Kuniev , he delivered a lackluster performance and was defeated by unanimous decision.
