Joshua Van, executioner of Alexandre pantoja The current UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) wants to shake things up in the division. At 24 years old, the Burmese-American phenomenon used social media to make it clear that he wants to fight immediately and is not satisfied with waiting for a new challenge in the organization.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, 'The Fearless' responded to people who criticized him for asking for his next fight. Joshua hasn't stepped into the octagon since December 2025, when he defeated Pantoja in a fight for the flyweight title. The current champion longs to remain active in the organization and, for this reason, doesn't want to go many months without defending his title. Annoyed by the fans' reaction to his desire, the Burmese-American rebutted the critics.

Joshua Van won the flyweight belt in UFC 323, in December 2025, by knocking out Alexandre pantoja with just 26 seconds of fighting, after the Brazilian suffered an arm injury.
With this achievement, he became the first fighter born in Myanmar to sign with and win a title in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), as well as the first male champion born in Asia and the youngest in the modern era, behind only [name missing]. Jon Jones.
Currently ranked 11th in the UFC's pound-for-pound rankings, Van is now awaiting confirmation of his next fight, making it clear that he is ready and even impatient to defend his title in the flyweight division.
