It seems that Ian Garry went in search of a major reinforcement for his preparation. Recently, the Irishman hinted that he has already started his camp aiming for his next UFC commitment and, last Sunday (15), he caught attention on social media by sharing a trip to Georgia, a country with strong wrestling traditions.

Through Instagram stories, Garry revealed that he had embarked on a trip to Tbilisi. In the images, the middleweight indicated that he would be traveling on British Airways flight BA330, scheduled to depart at 21:25 PM from gate A7.

The trip to Georgia may not be just a coincidence. After beating Belal Muhammad at UFC Qatar, the Irishman moved into second place in the welterweight rankings (up to 77 kg) and became one of the favorites to challenge Islam Makhachev for the title . Therefore, seeking improvement precisely in the champion's strong point sounds like a strategic choice.

Despite his high ranking, Garry faces stiff competition in the title race. Besides the Irishman, Carlos Prates , Michael Morales , and Kamaru Usman are also vying for a spot as Makhachev's next challenger for the belt.
