The former welterweight title challenger, Colby covington, revealed that he is in negotiations to return to the octagon at UFC White House. Without a win since March 2022, the American believes he could be one of the names chosen to be part of the commemorative card, which is scheduled to take place on the lawn of the United States presidential residence, and has even indicated an ideal opponent.

During an interview with the Valuetainment channel, Covington highlighted that he views a fight against the Briton favorably, especially given the international appeal of the duel. In the athlete's view, a clash between a representative of the United States and another from the United Kingdom would be more appropriate to mark the 250th anniversary of the country's independence, thus avoiding a confrontation between fighters of the same nationality on such a symbolic date.
