The former boxer was arrested accused of assaulting his 26-year-old niece. The information was released by Itatiaia.
According to the report from the Civil Police of Bahia, the alleged crime occurred in the early morning hours at the family's residence. During an argument with his niece, Hollyfield reportedly became agitated and punched her in the forehead.
After the incident, the former fighter was taken by a military police unit to the DEAM (Special Police Station for Women) and remains in custody. His niece gave her version of events and was released. Therefore, Reginaldo is being charged with intentional bodily harm, constituting a case of domestic violence.
