Polish fighter Mateusz Gamrot believes Charles Oliveira has a significant advantage against Max Holloway at UFC 326. The Brazilian faces the Hawaiian in the main event, scheduled for March 7th, in a rematch for the 'BMF' belt, and despite being considered the underdog, the 'Blasty Lion' could surprise with his physical strength, just as he did against the Pole at UFC Rio.
In an interview with the 'In the Cage' channel, Gamrot assessed that, although the striking between the athletes should be balanced, Do Bronx may have an advantage in clinch situations and on the ground, especially due to his physical strength. The Pole highlighted that he was surprised by the Brazilian's power when they faced each other and emphasized that his body structure helps the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg).

“He ( Charles do Bronx ) has a great chance, because striking is striking. Physically, they will be similar, but on the ground… I think in terms of physical strength he will have an advantage over Max. I think that if this fight goes to the clinch or to the ground, he will excel there. I myself was surprised when he caught me, when he lifted me off the ground. I didn't know what was happening. So, besides having a large bone structure, he is also very strong,” said Mateusz Gamrot.
Finally, Gamrot considered that Charles do Bronx 's performance can vary greatly from fight to fight, but, given the relationship built between them over the years and the admiration he has for the Brazilian, he hopes that the athlete will win the belt at stake.
“Oliveira is like that: sometimes he comes in and looks really bad, and sometimes he comes in and looks phenomenal. It’s a lottery, you never know what form he’s going to be in. But, because of our past and, in general, the sympathy I have for him, I would like him to win that belt,” Gamrot concluded.

According to Stake , the Brazilian has odds of 2,60, representing a return of R$26 for every R$10 wagered. Max Holloway, on the other hand , is the favorite, with odds of 1,50, equivalent to a return of R$15 for every R$10 invested in his victory.

Mateusz Gamrot 's conviction in a possible victory for Charles do Bronx stems from his experience feeling the Brazilian's power firsthand.
