It wasn't just Valter Walker who stood out at Karate Combat 59. At the event held last Friday (13), in Miami (USA), Brazilians Cláudio Ribeiro and Glaico França impressed in the pit. The former UFC fighters showed quality in striking and delivered impressive knockouts to Michel Borges and Oscar Remihana, respectively.

First to enter the action at the event, Cláudio made short work of his compatriot, a boxer who competed in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. A Muay Thai specialist, the aggressive former UFC fighter punished Michel.

In the first round, Cláudio knocked the boxer down with a powerful low kick. Then, confident, the athlete unleashed a powerful sequence of punches, which made Michel fall. On the ground, the former UFC fighter continued to punch his defenseless opponent, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Happy with the result, Ribeiro celebrated by dancing. Undefeated in Karate Combate, the Brazilian now has two victories.

Glaico had a tougher time securing the victory. The Brazilian ignored his underdog status against Remihana and was brutal. Also known for his striking, the former UFC fighter took advantage of the pit's layout to hold his opponent and deliver knee strikes to his face.
