The American last fought in the UFC in 2023 and, since then, has become an executive and focused on promoting 'Gamebred FC', his bare-knuckle MMA organization. In fact, the bad boy is so excited about the company's future that he announced a heavyweight tournament (up to 120,2 kg) with 16 professionals, starting on April 10th in the Dominican Republic, with a prize pool of $500 (approximately R$ 2,6 million at the current exchange rate).
The information was revealed in an interview with 'MMA Fighting'. And it didn't stop there. The highly anticipated Grand Prix features figures well-known to the general public due to their time in the UFC. In the main event, Anthony Smith, dislike of Alex Poatán and former light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) title challenger, ended his retirement and moved up a weight class to face Chase sherman.
