After Mario Bautista 's great performance against Vinícius LokDog in Vegas two weeks ago, the UFC lands in Houston this Saturday (21) with a clash of styles in the main fight. Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), Sean Strickland faces Anthony Hernandez , one of the main promises of the category currently dominated by the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.

Known for his controversial statements, Strickland returns to the world's most famous octagon a year after his rematch loss to Dricus Du Plessis . On the other side of the cage, he will face one of the great prospects. At 32 years old, Anthony Hernandez hasn't lost since 2020 and has racked up eight consecutive wins, including great performances against Michel Pereira and Roman Dolidze.
In the co-main event, veteran Geoff Neal defends his 13th position in the welterweight rankings (up to 77,1 kg) when he faces Serbian Uros Medic . Signed in 2020 after participating in the Contender Series, "The Doctor" tries to repeat the feat of Carlos Prates and become another fighter to stop the American in striking exchanges. Throughout his career, he has ten knockout victories and is coming off two consecutive wins.

The Brazilian fighters on the main card are experiencing different moments. In the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg), Melquizael Costa seeks his sixth consecutive victory and to enter the rankings when he faces veteran Dan Ige . At 29 years old, Melk could officially become one of the division's new prospects if he wins. Before that, Michel Pereira faces Zach Reese in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). The "Flying Paraense" hasn't won since 2024 and is coming off three consecutive losses.
In the final preliminary fight, Carlos Leal attempts to return to winning ways when he faces Chidi Njoukuani in the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg). The Curitiba native is coming off a tough knockout loss to Muslim Salikhov last July, while the American was submitted by Jake Matthews in his last fight.
