Brazilian victory! Carlos Leal dominates Chidi Njokuani at UFC Houston.

Carlos Leal fought for the win throughout, ultimately winning by unanimous decision, as did Alibi Idiris and Alden Coria; Joselyne Edwards won by submission (rear-naked choke).

Victory of Carlos LealUFC Houston featured a good matchup between Chidi Njōkuani e Carlos Leal In the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg), the Brazilian sought victory throughout the fight, securing good takedowns and landing punches while cornering Njokuani against the cage.

In the first round, Njokuani started by landing powerful kicks to Carlos' left leg. At 4:01, Carlos began to retaliate with punches, cornering his opponent. Against the cage, the Brazilian landed good punches to the head. Njokuani held Carlos, then tried to strike with knees. Carlos managed to escape his grasp and continued to land punches from a distance. A large part of the fight continued like this, with Njokuani near the cage, throwing long-range kicks and... Carlos Leal Throwing his opponent against the cage with punches. In the final 10 seconds, Njokuani landed a sequence of punches and kicks to the head.

In the second round, at 3:50, Carlos landed a punch that staggered Njokuani, but he couldn't follow up with a knockout sequence because Njokuani maintained his distance. At 2:10, Carlos grabbed his opponent, attempting a takedown. Carlos maintained his grip on Njokuani's waist, pressing him against the cage until the 20-second mark. Carlos fell, Njokuani tried to strike, but the Brazilian quickly got back up and the fight went to a break.

In the third round, Carlos focused on long-range punches. Njokuani managed a quick takedown at 2:40, but Carlos quickly got back up, continuing his long-range punches. Njokuani landed two impactful punches to Carlos's head. Carlos wasn't intimidated, closing the distance with his opponent. In the final 30 seconds, Njokuani landed a good sequence of punches, kicks, and knees.

Result of Ode Osbourne vs. Alibi Idiris

In the first round, both fighters, full of energy, attempted punches, but cautiously. Idiris landed some good punches at 3:40 and a leg kick at 3:15. Idiris then grabbed Osbourne and quickly took him down. Idiris remained on top, attempting punches, but Osbourne made it difficult for him by defending. Osbourne stood up, but Idiris held onto his waist. Osbourne completely broke free at 1:10 and landed a powerful punch, keeping his opponent at a distance. Idiris continued to seek close combat, but Osbourne only attempted strikes from a distance, gauging the danger of his opponent attempting a takedown.

Unsuccessful in the rear-naked choke, Idiris remained on top. At 1:30, the fight returned to the center of the octagon. Standing, Osbourne threw kicks and attempted punches, but as he dodged the punches, Idiris grabbed him and took him down, ending up on top and landing some punches to the head until the 10-second mark. At 5 seconds, Osbourne managed to escape the fight on the ground, and nothing else happened.

In the third round, Idiris quickly secured a takedown. Osbourne attempted to escape, and Idiris grabbed his waist against the cage, but Osbourne quickly moved away, returning to the center of the octagon. At 2:20, Idiris secured another takedown, and at 2:01, Osbourne reversed the position, ending up on top. Idiris attempted elbows to the head even from the bottom. At 1:01, both fighters stood up, with Osbourne landing two knee strikes. Idiris then cornered Osbourne against the cage and remained there until the end.

Result of Alden Coria x Luis Gurule

In the first round, both fighters started cautiously, with Gurule attempting a head kick against Coria. Gurule focused on long-range kicks early in the round. Coria made few attempts to strike until 2:50. Coria tried to connect with several punches in sequence, but Gurule was more effective with both kicks and punches. Gurule cornered Coria against the cage at 1:50, but Coria quickly switched positions, and the fight returned to the center of the octagon. In the final minute, Gurule fell, and Coria tried to get on top, but Gurule quickly got back to his feet. In the final 20 seconds, both fighters attempted long-range punches, but without significant impact.

In the second round, Coria took more risks, investing in long-range kicks and cornering Gurule against the cage. Looking for the best moment, at 2:40 Coria landed a series of punches in the center of the octagon, and Gurele quickly escaped the danger. At 1:49, Gurele cornered Coria against the cage, trying to contain his opponent. Gurele managed a takedown in the final minute, but Coria quickly gained top position. Coria attempted a triangle choke, but without success. Coria remained on top of Gurele until the end of the round, attempting to land elbows.

In the third round, Gurele quickly cornered Coria against the cage, but only briefly. Coria launched punches in the center of the octagon and secured a takedown at 3:20. Gurele got up immediately, but Coria still held him by the waist. The fight returned to the center of the octagon with Coria taking the initiative with punches. At 1:20, Coria grabbed Gurele's right leg while his opponent tried to regain his balance and land punches on Coria, but without success. In an attempt to counter Gurele's punching sequence, Coria almost landed a spinning elbow to the head.

This was his second fight for the organization.

Joselyne Edwards It has already begun by cornering. Nora Cornolle The fight started against the cage, but Cornelle quickly switched positions and landed a series of knee strikes. Much of the first round took place against the cage. In the final minute, the fight returned to the center of the octagon, with Edwards attempting a spinning backfist. In the end, Cornelle managed to land two more knee strikes before the break.

In the second round, both fighters played more cautiously, calculating their strikes with long-range kicks. At just 4 minutes, the fight went to the ground, with Edwards on top of Cornolle. At 2:25, Edwards secured an incredible takedown, landing a flurry of punches and then winning the fight with a submission.

Joselyne Edwards derrotou Nora Cornolle by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:24 of round 2. Now, Edwards, known as 'La Pantera', has a record of 17 wins and 17 losses. At 30 years old, she has been in the UFC since January 2021, making her debut against Yanan Wu, winning by unanimous decision. Joselyne was coming off a victory in her last fight against Priscilla Cachoeira in August 2025 via knockout (punches).
