Sean Strickland shows no concern about the competition from Nassourdine Imavov in the Ultimate. The American defeated Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston, held last Saturday (21), definitively putting his name in the fight for the belt and believes that the triumph achieved in the past over the French rival can serve as a passport to an eventual title fight against Khamzat Chimaev.

In an interview with Full Send MMA, Strickland reiterated that he already had the upper hand over Imavov in direct confrontations and expressed confidence that, regardless of who wins the belt, he will overcome him again if they face each other again in a title fight.

“I’ve already overtaken you, I’ve already beaten you, relax. Either you keep the belt or I do. If you keep it, I take it from you, and if I keep it, you lose to me,” said Sean Strickland.
