The billion-dollar deal between Paramount and UFC may have been a commercial success, but the new era has not been well received by MMA fans. Now, a new episode has not met with public approval. Last Saturday (21), Sean Strickland, who knocked out anthony hernandez During the third round of the main event at UFC Houston, his microphone was muted at the post-event press conference. Because of this, combat sports fans rallied in defense of the athlete.
After heavily attacking everyone and everything during the 'media day', Strickland accused Jim West, his opponent's coach, of being a sexual predator and was interrupted by the UFC. With this decision, the press conference was ended earlier than planned. Realizing that the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) had been 'silenced', fans revolted, defending his freedom of expression and didn't hesitate to criticize the world's largest MMA organization and Paramount for the imposed censorship.

Dissatisfaction is nothing new.
It's worth noting that MMA fans and professionals have previously expressed their dissatisfaction with Paramount's broadcasts of UFC events. The criticism stems from the excessive number of commercials during the show. Furthermore, key moments such as the fighters' entrance into the octagon and the corner's instructions to the athletes during the rounds were often cut.
