On a collision course with Sam Petterson in UFC London, Michael Page He is definitely not happy with his journey in the Ultimate so far. At 38 years old and coming off two consecutive wins, MVP has raised several criticisms of Dana White recently, mainly regarding the payment of athletes. He spoke about the subject again in an interview on 'The Ariel Helwani Show' last Tuesday (24).

Speaking about Zuffa's expansion into boxing and the company's latest event, the fighter expressed great disappointment with the apparent lack of interest from executives in providing better compensation for MMA fighters. Recent news reports stated that boxer Conor Benn received an estimated purse of $15 million (over R$77,4 million at the current exchange rate).
"Conor Benn's contract (according to reports) doesn't appeal to me. I heard about the, let's say, increase in the bonus structure (in the UFC) and that's why I wasn't initially excited, because, for me, that's not enough compared to the money they just earned," he said.

Speaking about the UFC CEO, Page expressed his annoyance with Dana White's efforts to invest in other sports, at the supposed cost of harming UFC athletes. He also didn't miss the opportunity to criticize the company's payment restructuring.
“Dana White has always been quite enthusiastic about the world of boxing and other things like Slap Fighting… But seeing this and how he values people outside the sport who built his reputation is frustrating, disappointing above all. This gives us reason to complain, honestly. I think if you couldn't see the value of your fighters before this… We deserved more. I hate hearing stories of fighters who reach the peak of their careers in the UFC and remain broke. That shouldn't happen,” he concluded.
Now, performance bonuses have been increased to US$100. In addition, all athletes who win via the fast track will receive an extra US$25 in their purses.
