The highly publicized boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson continues to generate discussion. In the 2024 fight in Texas (USA), broadcast on Netflix, the YouTuber defeated the boxing legend by unanimous decision, but fans and sports professionals alike found what happened in the ring strange. Terence Crawford, among others, made a controversial accusation.
During an appearance on the podcast 'The Joe Rogan Experience', the boxing star disapproved of the fight and claimed it was rigged. To justify his claim, Crawford highlighted Tyson's lack of aggression in the ring, ignoring his advanced age for competition.

Since 'Iron Mike' rarely attacked, Jake managed to tame him in a duel that was a commercial success, but one that didn't please the audience. Therefore, the boxing legend lamented that Tyson, who last competed professionally in 2005, had lent himself to such a role.
“I think it was all staged. I never saw Tyson biting his gloves. He was holding back as much as possible to avoid hitting him. It was heartbreaking to see an icon leave like that. He shouldn’t have participated. No way. I think there were other ways. With all the connections he has and everything else, I think they could have put him in the right position to make money,” said the boxing legend.
