Thiago Marreta is yet another veteran who will grace the heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) tournament promoted by 'Gamebred FC', Jorge Masvidal 's bare-knuckle MMA organization . In his debut for the company, the former UFC light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) title challenger will face fellow Brazilian Guto Inocente on April 10th in the Dominican Republic.
The fight was announced by the company itself last Wednesday (25). In fact, Marreta replaces Mohammed Usman , brother of Kamaru Usman , who was caught doping and cut from the UFC, as he left the fight for unknown reasons. In this way, the veteran becomes another name known to the general public in the GP composed of 16 professionals and which will award the champion with 500 thousand dollars (approximately R$ 2,6 million, at the current exchange rate).
Currently, the athlete is going through a rough patch in his career, with a streak of four losses and one no contest. His last victory was in 2021. Nevertheless, Marreta remains highly regarded and is seen by many as one of the favorites to win the tournament.
