When discussing the psychological state he approaches fights from, the Georgian/Spanish fighter highlighted that even though he has never experienced defeat as a professional athlete, he knows himself well enough to know that he would never give up on seeking victory.
“I know what it’s like to feel pain, to feel tired. I know myself, there are no situations in which I can give up. So, when I enter the octagon, my opponent should know that he’s going to face the toughest guy. You’re going to have to kill me, and I love my life too much and I don’t want to die,” he stated.
