Charles Oliveira avoided linking his motivations to personal factors when commenting on a possible confrontation against Conor McGregor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) octagon. Scheduled to face Max Holloway at UFC 326 on March 7th, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) is vying for the BMF belt and, should he win the symbolic title of the organization's toughest fighter, admits the possibility of putting it on the line against the Irishman, regardless of the weight class.
During a UFC Q&A session with fans, Charles Oliveira indicated he would be willing to face McGregor in different weight classes, making it clear that the main incentive for the fight would be the financial return involved. According to "The Lion," his interest in the fight is not linked to sporting prestige or rivalry between names, but to the lucrative potential the superfight could generate.

According to Stake , the Brazilian has odds of 2,60, representing a return of R$26 for every R$10 wagered. Max Holloway, on the other hand , is the favorite, with odds of 1,50, equivalent to a return of R$15 for every R$10 invested in his victory.

Although Charles Oliveira is eyeing a potential fight against Conor McGregor , another Brazilian could end up hosting the Irishman in his return to the octagon. Recently, MMA fans were surprised by rumors that the former champion could face Carlos Prates at UFC Casa Branca.
'The Smoker', however, tried to cool down the speculation by stating that the duel makes no sense at this time, claiming that the outcome would be a knockout in his favor.
