Before being confirmed for UFC 327, Borrachinha had a scheduled duel against his compatriot Brunno Hulk. for event number 326, scheduled for March 7th. However, without an official reason being given, the fighter from Minas Gerais was removed from the card. The fight was to be in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), a category in which the athlete is ranked 12th.
Returning to the light heavyweight division after four years, the Brazilian is looking to improve his record in the division. For your information, this will be his second fight in the category. Previously, the fighter from Minas Gerais was defeated by... Marvin vettori by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 196 in October 2021.
