As he achieved the biggest victory of his career via unanimous decision, the athlete had his work recognized this Tuesday (3), in the ranking update released by the company.

Before taking action in UFC MexicoKavanagh, 26, was not in the top 15 of the flyweight division and was coming off a knockout loss. However, the Englishman was not shaken by the loss of his MMA undefeated record and, by punishing and dominating the legend of the category, he joined the elite. Now, the sporting phenomenon is ranked sixth in the division and is approaching a title shot.

On the other hand, Moreno lost his second fight in a row and fell further from the top of the flyweight division. Therefore, the Mexican dropped from sixth to eighth place in the category's rankings.

The promising David Martinez also took advantage of the UFC Mexico to gain importance in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2 kg). Fighting at home, the Mexican overcame Marlon Vera By unanimous decision, securing his third victory in the company, in three appearances. Thus, the athlete climbed one step in the ranking table of the competitive category, becoming number nine.

Meanwhile, the Ecuadorian is experiencing the worst moment of his career. With his fourth consecutive defeat, Vera, a former title challenger in his weight class, dropped one position in the rankings, becoming the tenth-ranked fighter.
