Hype FC continues to make surprising announcements for its first edition in Brazil. Last Monday (2), hours after confirming Arman Tsarukyan 's presence at the show scheduled to take place on March 11 in Rio de Janeiro, the organization defined his opponent. The Armenian will face Georgio Poullas, a fighter he met in a less than pleasant way. And the fight is already generating concern.

All because, last Saturday (28), Tsarukyan faced the American at RAF 6 and came out on top in the wrestling match that caused quite a stir. On the mat, the second ranked lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) fighter in the UFC, irritated by Poullas' posture and fouls, attacked him at the end of the fight with a punch to the face, starting a general brawl between the teams.

After the incident, Poullas, injured and bleeding, was outraged and cursed his attacker. Tsarukyan, in turn, denied any remorse for attacking his rival and even mocked him.

As the already hostile atmosphere between the athletes worsened, it is expected that the tension will not decrease in the rematch for Hype FC. Now, the pair will have a grappling match, with submission rules focusing on finishing and lasting ten minutes.

Tsarukyan's moment in the UFC

Currently, Arman Tsarukyan does not have a fight scheduled in the UFC. The Armenian is ranked second in the organization's lightweight division and is considered by many to be the ideal fighter to dethrone champion Ilia Topuria , his rival.
