In the final days before facing Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 326, it's fair to say that most of Charles do Bronx 's preparation has come to an end. However, that doesn't mean the "Blamed Lion" won't sharpen his strikes for the duel with the Hawaiian. In fact, the situation is completely the opposite. The biggest finisher in the event's history, the Brazilian dedicated part of his training last Tuesday (4) to striking, right at the Performance Institute.

In the video, the Brazilian can be seen working combinations of punches and knees to the midsection, as well as front kicks and stomps to the knee. In a relaxed tone, "The Enlightened One" even risked landing a spinning kick to his coach's body. He had never attempted this strike in his UFC career.

Recently, in an interview with the Laerte Viana na Área channel, Leão Embaçado downplayed the narrative that it would be a striker versus grappler matchup and praised the competitive aspect of current MMA. According to him, his evolution over the years is enough to make him a threat to Holloway wherever the fight takes place, including the possibility of winning by knockout.

“I know I have a completely different style of Jiu-Jitsu, but it won't be a fight where Charles just wants to take me down. I don't see myself only doing that. I'm not just training takedowns. I'm training a little bit of everything and doing very well in everything. I've evolved a lot, so it will certainly be a great fight. For sure, my Jiu-Jitsu will be my Jiu-Jitsu, but my stand-up game has evolved a lot,” the fighter stated.
