Close to another battle for glory alongside Charles of the BronxDiego Lima opened up about the changes in the Brazilian's game. The coach of the 'Embarrassed Lion', who will be in his corner in the fight against Max Holloway, at UFC 326, vying for the symbolic 'BMF' belt, this Saturday (7), in Las Vegas (USA), detailed in an interview how the athlete arrives for this confrontation.

In an exclusive interview to SUPER FIGHTSLima was straightforward in stating that the maturity of the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) is a major factor to consider. When asked about the difference for this rematch, the Chute Boxe coach assured that 'Do Bronx' was "forged in steel" and is always evolving before each fight.

"It's about maturity, I think it's maturity in all areas of life, both personal and professional. I think Charles is a guy who's already fully established there. So he's a guy who's been around for many years, right? We're talking about more than 15 years on the road, we're talking about the number of fights he's had, the experiences he's lived through, facing the best in the category, he earned the right to fight for the belt against the big boss, and he was coming off an absurd winning streak."

Okay, then against Gaethje he suffered a setback, but everyone who fought him came out literally disfigured… So, Charles was literally tested, Charles was forged in steel, and it's not just any rain or storm that's going to bring him down, because he was forged in steel, not in a sandcastle.

PUBLICITY:

Charles is a guy who has matured immensely physically, mentally, and personally. Charles has been shielded since birth, ever since he suffered from health problems, overcoming natural challenges. Then he started training and his career became what it is, so Charles will always present the best version of himself, because he will always be a more mature, stronger, more prepared, and increasingly evolved Charles.

I think that's the issue: we can never become complacent. When we suffered that setback for the belt, it was very sad, it was the first time that kind of setback had happened. When we closed the main event in Rio against Gamrot, the criticism was huge: 'Wow, that's absurd, the guy loses and it hasn't even been two months…'

"But then there was a record sale, the tickets sold out in three hours, a record crowd at that arena, and he did what he did. So what we can say is this: Charles will be stronger than ever, and he's the kind of guy who will always fight to win, and never to lose, who has a huge difference between one point and another," Diego Lima said in an interview.

Focused, the Chute Boxe athlete also recently revealed behind-the-scenes details of his preparation to face the Hawaiian on March 7th. 'Do Bronx' stated he is "100% ready" to compete for the symbolic 'BMF' belt.. Check out the fight program below UFC 326 (subject to change).
