Francis Ngannou 's short career in the PFL has come to an end. This Friday (6), the company shocked the world by announcing, through an official statement, the termination of the contract with the former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) and, consequently, his release.
Now, the Cameroonian becomes one of the most coveted free agents by other combat sports organizations. It's still unknown what led the PFL to decide to release Ngannou, who still had one more fight left on his contract. In any case, the Professional Fighters League wished the MMA star the best for the continuation of his career.

After parting ways with Dana White and leaving the UFC in 2023, Ngannou signed a lucrative contract with the PFL. Naturally, the Cameroonian became the company's biggest name, but he barely competed for it. With the league's authorization to fight in boxing, 'The Predator' fulfilled his dream of competing in the ring and stepped into it twice, in losses to Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury . In MMA, however, the athlete represented the company only once, when he knocked out Renan Problema in the first round in 2024.
