The great victory against Max Holloway in the early hours of this Sunday (8) brought much more than just another name to Charles do Bronx 's record . In addition to avenging the anticlimactic defeat suffered against the Hawaiian in 2015, the Blurred Lion also made sure to achieve a historic feat at the T-Mobile Arena. More than six years after its creation, the BMF belt is in the hands of a Brazilian for the first time.

Charles do Bronx made history for Brazilian MMA.
In total, three fighters had already been crowned BMFs. However, the belt had never been contested or won by a Brazilian. Until now. Max Holloway had become the first fighter to defend the title by defeating Dustin Poirier in the Diamond's farewell fight at UFC 318, but now it was the Blessed One's turn to say goodbye to the crown and see the Blurred Lion officially become the toughest fighter on the roster.
