In the main event, the Brazilian faced Max Holloway and dominated the Hawaiian mainly in grappling throughout the five rounds. Despite the solid performance, some fans criticized the 'Blamed Lion' for prioritizing the ground game instead of seeking a frank exchange of blows, especially since it was a fight for the BMF belt.
In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Moicano criticized the attitude of some of the public and pointed out a contradiction in the complaints directed at the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg). The fighter highlighted that many fans used to demand more grappling from Charles, but started criticizing him precisely when he used this strategy to dominate one of the division's greatest legends for 25 minutes.
“My criticism of the fans is just this: you complain a lot, my brother, complaining about Charles saying he didn't use the floor. Then the guy goes, takes a legend and for 25 minutes indoctrinates the guy, and you're criticizing him saying he should have gotten into a fight. Make up your mind, damn it! Make up your mind, man! You have to make up your mind, dude!”, said Moicano.

According to Moicano, the solid victory reinforces that Charles is still capable of competing for the category's belt again. Furthermore, the Brazilian also took the opportunity to praise Ilia Topuria 's level , pointing to the champion as an extremely dangerous and dominant fighter within the division.
