Last Saturday (7), in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian dominated Max Holloway , securing his second consecutive victory. Enjoying a great phase in his career, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg), always looking to expand his legacy in MMA, now wants to regain the linear title.

Therefore, in the post-UFC 326 press conference, Charles made it clear that he is not interested in continuing to face the other top fighters in the division. With two consecutive victories, over Mateusz Gamrot and Max Holloway , the veteran believes he has earned another chance to compete for the undisputed lightweight title.

In fact, the Brazilian's focus is so great that he has already made himself available to the company to be the immediate reserve for Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje , the main event of UFC Casa Branca on June 14th, which is the unification of the division's titles. Charles' current situation

The victory had a special flavor for Charles do Bronx , 36 years old. The new UFC BMF champion avenged his defeat to Max Holloway in 2015, in a fight that took place in the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg).

More than that, the Brazilian, with two consecutive victories, defended his third position in the lightweight rankings and returned to the pound-for-pound rankings, in 12th place. Thus, the São Paulo native dreams of another title fight in the category.
