Jake Paul doesn't seem to consider Alex Poatan one of the big names in the traditional heavyweight division of MMA. The Brazilian, who has a fight scheduled against Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title (up to 120,2 kg) at UFC Casa Branca on June 14th in Washington, DC (USA), was not mentioned by the American in a social media post.

In a post on his X profile, formerly Twitter, Jake listed Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones as the top names in the category. The influencer praised both before highlighting the Cameroonian's return to MMA, who faces Philippe Lins on May 16th . This event, which will feature Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano as the main fight, will be the first MMA event to be streamed on Netflix.

“The two most feared MMA heavyweight champions in the world are Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones . One of them will fight this Saturday, May 16th, live on Netflix. The undisputed MMA heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou , will face Brazilian Philippe Lins, as well as Ronda Rousey and Carano,” said Jake Paul.

It's true that Poatan recently moved up a weight class. Even so, the recent change in weight class and the two belts he won in the middleweight (up to 83,9 kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) divisions don't seem to have been enough to get him on Jake Paul 's list.

While Francis Ngannou prepares for his return to MMA, Alex Poatan focuses on winning the title that once belonged to the Cameroonian in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The Brazilian has been scheduled to face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title at the highly anticipated UFC Casa Branca . The Native American will have the chance to achieve a historic feat: becoming the first fighter to win titles in three different UFC weight classes.
