In an Instagram post, Poatan is shown training with Medeiros, an athlete who defeated Hugo Macias in a boxing event promoted by Netflix in December 2025. During the activity, the MMA fighter has the advantage in sparring, while the boxer tries to react under the watchful eyes of his girlfriend, who closely follows everything and encourages her partner.

At one point, noticing Medeiros' difficulty in sparring, Mel Maia decides to join in the fun. The actress approaches the pair, asks her boyfriend to stop for a moment and then 'surprises' Poatan with a right cross. The blow makes the Brazilian fall to the ground, eliciting laughter from those present.

After the scene, Mel Maia kisses her boyfriend and teases the Brazilian fighter while he's still on the ground, playfully simulating new punches. Poatan, in turn, reacts with good humor and joins in the fun using his catchphrase "chama" (call) before the actress walks away.
