In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS , the fighter thanked the Brazilian public for their affection and highlighted the energy of the arena during the event. “Thank you to Brazil. So much energy, such good energy. This arena. I captured that energy from the arena… I thank my fans from Brazil for being here. It’s a wonderful place, with beautiful locations. I’m happy to be here with my fans,” said Shara Magomedov.
Shara also revealed that his presence at the event was directly influenced by his coach, Gor Azizyan. According to the Russian, the idea of returning to Brazil arose after the coach mentioned that he would be traveling to the country soon and chose him to accompany him on that occasion, which ended up resulting in his participation in the grappling match.
“My coach told me: ‘Soon, I’m going to Brazil,’ he chose me (to come with him). It was a good idea to return to Brazil with this fight,” continued the UFC pirate.
Finally, the 'UFC Pirate' reinforced his happiness at feeling the support of Brazilians. The athlete recalled that he had already been to the country in 2022, when he defeated Rodrigo Carlos at Arena Global. Upon learning of the event being held in Brazil, he decided to participate with great enthusiasm and stated that, despite the long and difficult trip, the experience was worthwhile.
“I’m very happy that my fans in Brazil loved me. I had been here before with my coach. I won an MMA championship here. I did a training camp here for a month. When I heard there was a tournament here, I arrived with great joy. The journey was difficult, the road was long, but it was worth it,” concluded the Russian.
