Amanda Lemos put on a battle against Gillian Robertson at UFC Vegas 114, held last Saturday (14). The Brazilian had the advantage in striking at various times, but was unable to neutralize the Canadian's dominance in grappling and ended up losing by unanimous decision of the judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

With the defeat, Amanda Lemos now has a record of 15 wins and six losses in her career. Robertson, in turn, reaches 17 wins and is in great form, with five consecutive positive results in the UFC.

Amanda started the fight controlling the distance and landing good straight punches to the Canadian's face. At a disadvantage in the stand-up fight, Gillian tried to close the distance to take the fight to the ground. After securing the takedown, the Brazilian surprised everyone by applying a reversal.
On top, Lemos attempted a kimura, which was well defended by her opponent, and then threatened with a rear-naked choke that almost ended the fight before the athletes returned to a standing position.
In the second round, Amanda returned more confident and willing to take risks. However, the change in posture ended up opening space for Robertson to execute a takedown. With her back to the ground, the Brazilian was controlled by the Canadian for much of the round, until she managed a reversal in the final moments and finished the round landing strikes from top position.
In the final round, Lemos resorted to long jabs to keep her opponent at bay. However, halfway through the round, Robertson managed to close the distance again and resumed threatening with takedowns.
After suffering another fall, Amanda still threatened with an arm lock. The Canadian, however, managed to defend and ended up on top. Lemos finished the fight on her back on the ground, being controlled until the final bell.

José Delgado showed he has what it takes to take a big step in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). The Mexican faced Andre Fili on the main card of UFC Vegas 114 and, despite being surprised at times, won the fight by split decision and returned to the win column in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
With this result, Delgado reached 11 career wins and now has three wins and one loss in the UFC. Fili, on the other hand, suffered his 13th defeat in his record.
