Harry Hardwick's defeat at UFC Vegas 114 ended dramatically. After suffering a fractured jaw during his fight against Mawan Rahiki , the Briton took to social media to reassure fans and comment on the post-fight experience.
On his Instagram, despite the serious injury, Hardwick showed good humor when talking about the situation and acknowledged his opponent's merit for the blow that defined the course of the fight. The athlete also highlighted that, even disappointed with the result, he maintains a positive outlook outside the octagon.
"Guys, I'm doing well. My jaw is obviously messed up, but it's okay! I like soup, smoothies, milkshakes, and energy drinks. So I can still consume those things, life goes on good. I can't complain about my situation. I have a beautiful and amazing girlfriend, a good home, family, and a great support network."
"Nobody needs to cry for me, I'm fine. Obviously I'm devastated, but that's sport. I wanted to win, but that's how things are. Credit to Marwan. He landed a punch and broke my jaw. He did it on purpose, it wasn't luck," said Harry Hardwick.

After taking the punch, it didn't take long for the Englishman to make it clear that the pain was greater than just from a single blow. Unable to continue the fight, Hardwick's corner declared him a no-contest, sealing Rahiki's eighth career victory and a positive result in his Ultimate debut. On the other side, still without a win in Dana White's organization, "Houdini" has accumulated two losses in his first two fights.
