Shortly after Kevin Vallejos ' triumph against Josh Emmett , a request involving the Argentinian was launched on the internet. The prospect, who delivered a beautiful knockout to the veteran at 3:33 of the first round of UFC Vegas 114 , last Saturday (14), was "scheduled" by a former Ultimate welterweight champion (up to 77 kg) to face Jean Silva soon.
In a post on his X profile, formerly Twitter, Belal Muhammad didn't write a long text to declare his interest in seeing a rematch between 'Nerd' and Vallejos. The American, who has a fight scheduled against Gabriel Bonfim for UFC Fight Night 278 on June 6th in Las Vegas (USA), barely needed a line to make his message clear.
“Kevin (Vallejos) vs. Jean Silva next,” wrote Belal Muhammad shortly after the Argentine’s victory at UFC Vegas 114.

It's true that Jean Silva and Kevin Vallejo haven't ruled out a rematch. However, they don't consider it a priority either. Both the Brazilian and the Argentinian want to win the UFC featherweight title (up to 65,8 kg) and believe that this duel could happen precisely in a title fight.
One scenario already mentioned by the prospect was Jean Silva dethroning Alexander Volkanovski and then facing him as a title challenger. In any case, the eventual rematch has all the makings of a great battle, given that their first encounter was marked by intense striking.
On that occasion, in September 2023, the fight took place at Dana White's Contender Series, where the Brazilian came out on top by winning via unanimous decision and securing a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
