Kamaru Usman's Brother Signs Contract With the Same Organization as Jailton Malhadinho

Mohammed Usman, champion of the 30th edition of The Ultimate Fighter and former UFC heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), has a new home. The 36-year-old athlete was suspended by CSAD (Combat Sports Anti-Doping) in January after testing positive for testosterone and, subsequently, in February, was released from Dana White's organization due to these recent events . Now, in a new league, the Nigerian joins Jailton Malhadinho , seeking better days after a turbulent start to the year.

In a post on Instagram, the official profile of Absolute Championship Akhmat (ACA) announced that Mohammed has officially become another fighter in the organization. Just as with the Nigerian, the Russian company had signed Malhadinho after the heavyweight was released from the UFC . In the welcoming post, Magomed Bibulatov, president of the company, was responsible for announcing the newest acquisition.

“The ACA heavyweight division is bolstered by another fighter. Mohammed Usman has signed a long-term contract with the league. Who do you want to see him fight in his debut?” said Magomed Bibulatov.

For how long was Kamaru Usman's brother suspended?

The punishment is retroactive to October 9, 2025, two days before his fight against Valter Walker at UFC Rio, and will remain in effect until April 9, 2028. The athlete tested positive for testosterone in a sample collected out of competition on September 8 of last year.

According to CSAD, Usman made false statements during the investigation. Because of the attempt to deceive the agency, an additional six months' suspension was added to the standard two-year sentence.

Mohammed Usman will be 40 years old when he is eligible to compete again. Currently, the Nigerian has 11 wins and four losses in his professional record.
