Netflix's first MMA event has gained a big fight. Now, Mike Perry and Nate Diaz , former UFC fighters, will face off in a high-profile bad boy battle on May 16 in California (USA). The announcement was made by the streaming giant, which will broadcast the show live, on its social networks this Monday (16).
The Americans have excelled in the UFC and, due to their aggressive, exciting action and strong personalities, have a legion of fans. Diaz, 40, last fought MMA in 2022. Currently, the veteran is competing in boxing. Perry, 34, has not competed in mixed martial arts since 2021. Since then, 'Platinum' has dedicated himself to bare-knuckle boxing and has become the face of 'Bare Knuckle FC'.

Since Netflix is looking for renowned or popular professionals to headline its first MMA event, the duo's profile was a perfect fit. Furthermore, Perry had been expressing a desire to have Diaz as an opponent for some time. Therefore, the duel, which could have taken place in the UFC, will finally happen years later and promises to steal the show in the spectacle headlined by Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey . The fight will last five rounds and will be valid for the welterweight division (up to 77,1 kg).
