Vitor Petrino had his complaint heard and his wish fulfilled after his good performance at UFC Vegas 114. At the event held last Saturday (14), the Brazilian defeated Steven Asplund by unanimous decision, securing his third consecutive victory in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg). Therefore, 'Cabuloso' had his work recognized this Tuesday (17), in the ranking update released by the organization, returning to the top-15 of the category.
In the latest ranking update, Petrino, who was ranked 15th, was surprisingly removed and replaced by Tai Tuivasa , who has six consecutive losses. Upset, the Brazilian complained about the decision made by the journalists and openly expressed his desire to return to the elite of the division. And so it happened. Now, the fighter from Minas Gerais has reappeared as number 15 in the heavyweight rankings.

In the main event, Kevin Vallejos not only confirmed his status as favorite against Josh Emmett , but also put on a show. The Argentinian delivered a beating to the veteran and knocked him out in the first round. With his fourth UFC victory, the athlete moved up a level in the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg), reaching the top 10. By climbing four spots, 'El Chino' became the tenth ranked fighter in the division.
On the other hand, the 41-year-old American is experiencing the worst moment of his career and has plummeted in the category's standings. With three consecutive defeats, Emmett lost four places, falling to 15th position.

In the co-main event, Gillian Robertson convincingly defeated Amanda Nunes , a former strawweight (up to 52,2 kg) title challenger, by unanimous decision. This marked the Canadian's fifth consecutive victory, propelling her upwards in the highly competitive division. Previously ranked eighth, she has now risen to fifth, bringing her closer to a title shot and even challenging champion Mackenzie Dern.
The Brazilian fighter has lost two fights in a row for the first time in her career. Due to the series of losses, Amanda, 38, dropped from fifth to eighth place.
Tsarukyan is back.

While Arman Tsarukyan may not be on good terms with the UFC's top brass, especially Dana White, he at least enjoys some credibility with journalists. Even without fighting, the Armenian has returned to the company's select pound-for-pound ranking, comprised of the best fighters across all weight classes. He has now reached 15th place, knocking Max Holloway off the list.
