Jean Silva is so determined to secure a title fight against Alexander Volkanovski that he will be closely following his main competitors. After defeating Arnold Allen at UFC 324, the Brazilian reinforced his desire to face the featherweight champion (up to 65,7 kg). However, Volkanovski indicated that the next challenger should come from the fight between Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy , scheduled for next Saturday (21), at UFC London.
In a post on his Instagram stories, Jean revealed that he will be traveling at the organization's invitation to watch the fight from the front row. According to him, the intention is not only to watch the fight up close, but also to advance negotiations for a title shot, as well as to promote the eventual confrontation at a level he considers historic within the category.

The Brazilian also adopted a provocative tone when commenting on the possible outcome of the fight. According to Jean, if the fight doesn't meet expectations, he intends to step into the cage and position himself as an immediate title contender, downplaying the importance of his two rivals.
"After the fight is over, I'm going up there and hand in their resignations, I don't care," Lord concluded.

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, Jean Silva stated that a potential duel between him and Volkanovski would carry much more weight than fights against other contenders for the belt. In the Brazilian's view, public interest and the impact of the fight would put his name ahead of direct rivals in the race for a title opportunity.
"Brother, I'm going to tell you three things. Think about it, Evloev versus Volkanovski. Think about it, Lerone Murphy versus Volkanovski. Now, think about it, Jean Silva versus Volkanovski. Who do you think is worth more? Tell me... There, I think the fight itself answers that. And if he doesn't want to, I'll even go to his house, don't worry," said Jean Silva.
Finally, Jean highlighted that he sees the potential fight as a mission to maintain José Aldo 's legacy at the top of the division's history. According to him, if Volkanovski achieves another great victory, the Australian could surpass the feats of the former Brazilian champion. Therefore, the athlete believes that a victory for him would be important to preserve Aldo as the greatest featherweight of all time.
“This will happen. And after ten years, we will continue Aldo's legacy here in Brazil. Aldo being the greatest of all time, because if he beats someone now, he surpasses Aldo. And if Brazil is with me on this, we won't let it happen,” Lord concluded.
