Held this Friday (20), the official weigh-in for UFC London had Luana Dread as the villain . The veteran once again failed to make weight on the scales and exceeded the bantamweight limit (up to 61,2 kg), being 3,6 kg above the tolerable limit. As a result, the fight against Melissa Mullins ended up being cancelled for regulatory reasons. Also Brazilian Ravena Oliveira did not meet her pre-fight obligation in the strawweight division (up to 52,2 kg), however her duel with Shanelle Dyer remains on the show.
Even knowing she wouldn't make weight, Luana used the screen during the ceremony. When she stepped on the scale, the Brazilian weighed in at an unbelievable 65,3 kg. This was the third time the fighter failed to make weight. Because she is a repeat offender and has so many problems fulfilling her pre-fight obligations in both the flyweight and bantamweight divisions, there is a high chance Dread will be cut by the UFC.

In turn, Mullins, who also struggles to make weight and has failed twice before, this time, at home, fulfilled her role. Crying, the Englishwoman weighed in at 61,6 kg, but will not be able to fight in front of her family, friends, and fans. Upon learning of the cancellation of the fight, the disappointed athlete asked the UFC to find a new opponent to compete in the event.

More failure
Like Luana, Ravena did not make weight for the strawweight division (up to 52,2 kg). The Brazilian weighed in at 52,8 kg. Since she was 0,2 kg over the limit, the fighter remains in the event, but 20% of her purse will be given to Dyer, a local athlete.
