After impressing on the Contender Series, Kurtis Campbell struggled in his debut in the world's largest MMA organization. UFC LondonAt the event held this Saturday (21), the Englishman, known as 'Pink Panther' for wearing striking shorts of the same color, was surprised and, even playing at home, succumbed. Despite being the favorite in the duel, the athlete was knocked out by Danny Silva in the second round, in a fight valid for the featherweight division (up to 65,8 kg).

Thus, Campbell, 23, lost his undefeated record in MMA and saw his hype suffer a major blow. Now, the Englishman has eight wins, six of them by stoppage (five by knockout and one by submission), and one tough defeat.

Nasty fall

Campbell started the fight by throwing punches and kicks at Silva. Then, Campbell took Silva down, took his back, but lost the position and ended up on the bottom. Undeterred, Campbell got up and attacked with his arsenal of strikes. In turn, Silva relied on low kicks and crosses.

In the second round, Silva went all out and attacked Campbell relentlessly. With sheer power, Silva knocked Campbell down with a straight punch. Confident, Silva continued striking Campbell and, when Campbell got up, landed another straight punch, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Brave ones, Mason jones Jones and Axel Sola gave it their all in the octagon. The fight started with a lot of action, with good strikes from both fighters. With clean punches from both sides, the fight didn't take long to get bloody. Jones, intense, always sought victory, landing powerful punches on his rival.

Resilient, Sola fought harder to stay on his feet than to fight back. Towards the end of the fight, Jones landed a flurry of punches and knees to the Frenchman's head. In the end, the Welshman defeated Sola by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

With the victory, Jones now has 18 wins and two losses in his professional record. In excellent form in his second stint with the UFC, the Welshman hasn't lost in seven fights. This was his sixth fight for the organization.

On the other hand, Sola lost his unbeaten record, now registering 11 wins and one loss in his professional career. The 28-year-old Frenchman had been on a four-fight winning streak before the... UFC LondonThis was his second engagement with the organization.
