Despite not being as prominent in the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), Mason Jones and Alex Sola left UFC London duly recognized. At the event held this Saturday (21), the pair staged a true battle, with plenty of blood in the octagon. At the end of the 15 minutes of action, the first one came out on top, overcoming his opponent by unanimous decision. As the encounter was exciting and violent, the Welshman and the Frenchman earned the 'Fight of the Night' bonus.
The organization announced the awards shortly after the show. Therefore, Jones and Sola each took home a check for $100 (approximately R$ 532 at the current exchange rate). In the octagon, the Welshman suffered a knockdown from the Frenchman in the first round, but he didn't let it faze him and attacked with everything he had. The athlete's aggression was so great that, even bleeding, he attacked his opponent with everything he had, opening an even larger cut on his face.

With his relentless pace, Jones relied on a high volume of strikes and punished Sola, handing him his first MMA loss. The Welshman now boasts three consecutive wins in his second stint in the UFC.
Other award winners
The 'Performance of the Night' bonuses were awarded to Iwo Baraniewski and Shanelle Dyer. In the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), Iwo made short work of Austen Lane . The 27-year-old MMA prospect destroyed the former heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) fighter in an incredible 28 seconds, extending his undefeated streak in MMA.
Right from the start of the event, newcomer Shanelle Dyer made a good impression in the octagon. Fighting at home, the athlete lived up to expectations and knocked out her opponent. Ravena Oliveira in the second round.
Other bonuses
Since they also won by stoppage, Brando Pericic , Israel Adesanya 's training partner , and Danny Silva earned a bonus of US$25 (approximately R$133). At the event, the Australian secured his second UFC victory by knocking out Louie Sutherland in just over a minute of fighting. Meanwhile, the American surprised everyone by not only knocking out the favorite Kurtis Campbell, a home athlete, but also ending his MMA undefeated streak in the second round.
