Movsar Evloev may have taken a decisive step towards a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski . The Russian entered UFC London for a duel of undefeated fighters against Lerone Murphy , which, in theory, could define the next challenger for the featherweight title (up to 65,7 kg). Even in a fight with a slow pace, the grappling specialist came out victorious and ended up catching the attention of the Australian champion.
In an interview with Paramount+, Movsar Evloev indicated that the confrontation with the champion has been anticipated for quite some time and suggested that the duel should take place soon, before his rival gets even older.

"He's been waiting for me for a long time. So, before he gets too old, let's make this happen," said Movsar Evloev.
In turn, Alexander Volkanovski , who was participating live in the event's post-show, responded in a relaxed tone, signaling that he still has enough resources and experience to deal with any challenger that comes his way.
"That old man still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Bring them on," Volkanovski replied.
Jean Silva can cut in line.
Although Movsar Evloev is the number one in the division and maintains an undefeated record with 20 wins, the title fight against Alexander Volkanovski may end up going to Jean Silva.
The Brazilian fighter is coming off a victory over Arnold Allen in a very exciting fight and is emerging as the favorite among fans who value the entertainment inside the octagon.
