Despite being a star of English MMA, Michael Page did not come out well from UFC London . At the event held last Saturday (21), the veteran confirmed his favoritism and beat his compatriot Sam Patterson by unanimous decision, but was booed by fans during and after the fight. In fact, the lack of action in the fight also irritated Dana White.
The company president criticized the welterweight (up to 77,1 kg) bout and implied that the main culprit for the lackluster performance in the octagon was Page, not his opponent, indicating that he expected more of the same. The fight between the Englishmen, in fact, featured few attacks and memorable moves, with more dodging and movement from 'MVP'.

It's true that, at the end of the 15-minute fight, the veteran secured his third consecutive victory and defended his 13th place ranking in the category, numbers that prove his quality. However, Dana White didn't seem enthusiastic about the future of the 38-year-old veteran, who was a knockout artist in Bellator, but in the UFC, he still hasn't won by knockout.
"Yeah, I didn't think it was a great fight either. It was a bad fight. I don't know. He won, so we'll see what comes next," said the executive at the post- UFC London press conference.
