In addition to the defeat and loss of his invincibility during the main event of UFC London against Movsar Evloev , Lerone Murphy also left the octagon last Saturday (21) with a serious hip injury, suffered in the fourth round, in a fight valid for the featherweight category (up to 65,7 kg). This Monday (23), Milagre came to the public to give information about the injury in a video published on his social networks.

In the post, the Englishman explained that he suffered a tear in the hip flexor muscle group on his left side. Although he did not detail the extent of the injury or even which specific muscle was injured, it is possible to identify that cryotherapy treatment was performed on the area.

Despite putting up a very competitive fight, the injury clearly affected the fighter's performance in the final part of the bout. In both the fourth and fifth rounds, he was severely hampered by pain in the area, allowing Evloev to use his grappling skills to physically dominate his opponent and secure a majority decision victory.

Despite the setback, Murphy remains one of the most skilled names in the featherweight division (up to 65,7 kg). He currently holds the third position in the division's ranking, and has victories against Josh Emmett , Aaron Pico, and Edson Barboza.
