Without mincing words, Manumito stated that, in his view, Mauricio Ruffy displayed a certain arrogance inside the cage. Manoel Sousa , the first fighter to defeat 'Nerd' in MMA, detailed that his opponent's behavior during the fight was noteworthy, especially his provocations.
In an interview with ConnecCast, Manumito revealed that Ruffy had a different attitude, talking the entire time during the fight. According to the Brazilian, his rival said he was going to knock him out in the duel, which reinforced his impression of the attitude he adopted at that point in his career.
"I don't know how he (Ruffy) is today. Because before, you could see that he was a bit arrogant. I don't know if he changed when he joined the UFC. But in that fight there (between us), he talked, he kept talking the whole time. We could see that he had a different attitude."
"Today he talks a lot about God, which is very good for him, his family, and his career. I won that fight through sheer grit, because it was tough. It went back and forth. He kept talking during the fight, saying he was going to knock me out at such and such a moment," Manoel Manumito told ConnecCast.
