According to journalist Ariel Helwani, Max Holloway is emerging as the favorite to face Conor McGregor during International Fight Week, scheduled for July 11th.

According to the Canadian reporter, Jorge Masvidal is not in negotiations to be the Irishman's opponent in his return.

After being defeated by Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 and losing the BMF belt, Max Holloway didn't want to waste time lamenting and has already defined his next career goal.

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Holloway recalled his past loss to McGregor and highlighted that he sees merit in a rematch, especially given their current form.

“Conor beat me. He’s talking about coming back, I’m coming off a loss. If he doesn’t want to cut weight, neither do I. We can fight in any weight class, the important thing is to regain the lost weight,” said Max Holloway.
