Surprisingly, the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg) said he was so impressed by the details of the Epstein case that he preferred to put his cell phone aside while he was in training camp.
“I’ve been using my cell phone less. When the (Epstein) list was released, my entire timeline was ‘island,’ ‘Epstein,’ this and that. It’s depressing, so I had to get off my phone.” You know that habit of always picking up your phone, like, ‘**now the door is locked?’ That hinders your ability to concentrate and focus,” the Nigerian stated.

Adesanya is not the first fighter to adopt a stance detached from social media in order to seek greater focus on his training routine. Recently, Sean O'Malley also announced who was stepping away from social media in order to dedicate himself to regaining the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg) against Merab Dvalishviliwhich ultimately did not happen.
Adesanya's recent record in the UFC is worrying.

Despite being one of the most successful champions in the organization's history, the Nigerian is not having a good moment in his career. In his last five appearances, he left the octagon defeated on four occasions, with only one of the losses coming by decision. Due to his age and a natural restructuring in the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg), the fighter will compete under pressure this Saturday (28).
